The 5 Elements of Design.

Colour, line, shape, form, and texture.

 

Colour: different sensations on the eye caused by different wavelengths of light.

Line: a linear path of tone that can be used to create designs.

 

Shape: a distinct area of tone in contrast to its background

 

Form: a 3 dimensional object in space. A bunch of shapes put together.

 

Texture: the feeling of the surface of an object when touched.
